Pros and cons of Mosquito Device app for iPhone and iPad
Mosquito Device app good for
kinda the wrong season for this app, might be popular in summer
We were getting bit so I turned it on. I didnt notice another mosquito until I turned it back off. Not too hard on the battery.
I took a regular plastic box and caught 5 of them in it , i placed my hand inside and they swarmed me but i took my iphone and turned on the app and 2 of them were paralized wnd the other 3 were staying away banging against a wall of the box. It works and i tested! Great app althouh u cqn still hear the high pitched sound fix that and 5 stard
Some bad moments
I have a 1st gen iPhone. I turned on the "Mosquito Device" and placed it next to a MOSQUITO. It did nothing. Dont waste your time if you have a 1st gen iPhone. Too good to be true. Should stay free or be removed.
Thats all I have to say - it just doesnt work. Waste of 79 eurocents. Shame! We had high expectations... Now why do you people sell something that doesnt work???
Crap. Doesnt work. Has odd ticking sound. Annoying mosquito animation
Had three flyin in my room and they werent affected at all by this app... They actually flew around phone a bit. Nice look but horrible at keeping Mosquitos away...
I have added 3 start because the mosquito animation is nice :) but the sound thing is a myth as i know...
Anyway, i have turned on the sound, went 2 CM from a real Mosquito, and nothing happened! changed the volume few times and levels, and same thing, nothing; i wait for 6 minutes and the Mosquito still was relaxing really happy on the wall!
Sorry developer, but... this doesnt work...
I have not found any empirical study that show that sound of any frequency has any effect as a repellant for mosquitos. One of their main predators, the dragon fly, makes a low frequency sound. Other studies have shown that the mosquito had little if any sense of hearing. Please post any information to the contrary.
